QualiPro Pac-Low SC is a plant growth regulator containing Paclobutrazol as the active ingredient, which is used primarily to control the growth and development of various ornamental and turfgrass species. It works by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, reducing excessive vegetative growth and promoting a more compact, dense plant structure.
Benefits of Pac-Low SC:
Growth Regulation: Reduces plant height and increases branching, leading to more compact plants with improved aesthetic appearance.
Stress Resistance: Enhances plant tolerance to environmental stressors such as drought, heat, and wind.
Improved Flowering: Encourages stronger flowering and better fruit production in certain crops.
Reduced Maintenance: Minimizes the need for frequent mowing and pruning, saving time and labor costs for landscapers and gardeners.
Long-lasting Effects: Provides extended control of plant growth, reducing the frequency of reapplication.
Application Rates:
Cool Season Grasses (except putting greens): 0.25 to 0.50 lbs. a.i./acre
Bentgrass Putting Greens: 0.10 to 0.25 lbs. a.i./acre
Restrictions:
Do not apply during periods of drought or when plants are under stress, as the product may exacerbate the condition.
Avoid use on edible crops unless specifically labeled for that purpose.
Do not apply more than once every 4 to 6 weeks to prevent buildup in the soil.
Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours to ensure maximum efficacy.
Avoid over-application as it may lead to stunted growth or other negative effects on plant health.
Safety:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, protective eyewear, and a long-sleeved shirt when handling and applying the product.
Keep Away from Water Sources: Do not allow the product to contaminate water sources or runoff into water bodies.
Storage and Disposal: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and dispose of containers according to local regulations.
Toxicity: Paclobutrazol has low toxicity to humans and animals, but ingestion or inhalation of large quantities can be harmful. If exposure occurs, seek medical advice immediately.
Ventilation: Apply in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhalation of mist or spray.
