QualiPro Ethephon 2SL: Plant Growth Regulator

Description

Ethephon 2SL is a plant growth regulator formulated with ethephon (2-chloroethylphosphonic acid) as the active ingredient. It is used to enhance fruit ripening, induce flowering, reduce lodging in cereals, promote uniform harvest, and regulate growth in various crops. When applied, ethephon is absorbed by plant tissues and converted into ethylene, a natural plant hormone that influences growth and development.

Application Rates

• Rate: 5 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.

• Frequency: 

  • Poa annua and White Clover Seedhead Suppression: 2 weeks or greater for all labeled grasses.

  • Turfgrass Growth Regulation:

    • Kentucky Bluegrass & Perennial Ryegrass: 7 Weeks

    • Tall/Fine Fescue & Bentgrass: 4 Weeks

Restrictions & Safety Precautions

• Do not apply to crops under stress (drought, extreme temperatures, or pest damage).

• Avoid application during rain or when rain is expected within 6 hours after treatment.

• Use appropriate spray equipment to ensure uniform coverage.

• Follow pre-harvest intervals (PHI) as specified on the label.

• Avoid drift to non-target plants to prevent unintended effects.
