Bayer Roundup Custom (Glyphosate)

Description:Bayer Roundup Custom is a non-selective herbicide containing Glyphosate, designed to provide effective control of a wide range of broadleaf weeds, grasses, and brush species. It works by inhibiting a key enzyme involved in plant growth, ultimately leading to the death of unwanted plants. Roundup Custom offers fast and reliable results with minimal soil residual, making it a valuable tool for maintaining healthy, well-managed landscapes.

Benefits:

  • Fast-acting with visible results in 1-2 weeks.

  • Broad-spectrum control of many grasses, broadleaf weeds, and woody plants.

  • Can be used before planting or between crops in turf and ornamental systems.

  • Flexible application with both pre- and post-emergence control.

  • Low soil residual, allowing for replanting or reseeding in a short time.

Diseases Controlled:While Roundup Custom is primarily an herbicide and not designed for controlling diseases, it can be part of an integrated approach for managing weed-related conditions in turf and ornamental spaces. It may indirectly reduce competition from weeds that harbor plant pathogens.

Weeds and Vegetation Controlled:

  • Broadleaf weeds: Dandelion, clover, thistle, chickweed, etc.

  • Grasses: Crabgrass, ryegrass, foxtail, fescue, and more.

  • Woody plants: Bushes, trees, and shrubs.

  • Annual and perennial weeds.

Application Rates:The application rate for Roundup Custom depends on the specific weed species, growth stage, and environmental conditions. The general recommendations are:

  • Use Rates: Refer to label for a list of rates for specific applications.

Restrictions and Safety for Use:

  • Avoid drift: Take precautions to avoid spray drift onto desirable plants, as Glyphosate can damage non-target species.

  • Re-entry Interval (REI): Do not re-enter treated areas until the spray has dried, usually within 30 minutes to 2 hours.

  • Do not apply when windy: Ensure wind conditions are mild (less than 10 mph) to prevent drift.

  • Environmental precautions: Keep away from water sources such as ponds, lakes, rivers, or streams, to avoid contamination.

  • Avoid use during heavy rain: Do not apply before expected heavy rain as it may wash the herbicide off treated surfaces, reducing effectiveness.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE): Wear long sleeves, pants, gloves, and protective eyewear while handling and applying the product.

  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight, in an area inaccessible to children and pets.

Safety:

  • Glyphosate is classified as low in toxicity to humans and animals when used according to label instructions. However, avoid inhalation or contact with skin and eyes.

  • Follow all safety instructions on the product label.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets during and after application until the product has dried.

Roundup Custom is a powerful and reliable tool for managing unwanted vegetation in turf and ornamental settings. Always read and follow the product's label for specific instructions and guidelines for your application needs.
