Alligare Mojave 70 EG Herbicide

Description

Alligare Mojave 70 EG is a highly effective pre- and post-emergent herbicide designed for total vegetation control in non-crop areas. It combines Imazapyr and Diuron as active ingredients to provide long-lasting residual weed control by inhibiting plant growth and preventing seed germination. This herbicide is ideal for industrial sites, roadsides, railroads, utility substations, and other non-agricultural areas where complete vegetation removal is required.

Key Benefits:

  • Provides long-term residual control of broadleaf weeds and grasses

  • Effectively suppresses both existing vegetation and future regrowth

  • Suitable for use in industrial and non-crop areas

  • Granular formulation allows for easy mixing and application

  • Reduces maintenance costs by minimizing the need for frequent reapplications

Targeted Weeds and Unwanted Vegetation:

Alligare Mojave 70 EG controls a broad spectrum of grasses, broadleaf weeds, and woody plants, including but not limited to:

  • Johnsongrass

  • Kochia

  • Russian thistle

  • Pigweed

  • Ragweed

  • Marestail

  • Canada thistle

  • Bahiagrass

  • Cheatgrass

  • Foxtail

  • Annual and perennial weeds

Application Rates:

  • Bare Ground Total Vegetation Control: Apply at 5 - 10 lbs per 100 gallons of water per acre, depending on soil type and weed pressure.

  • Spot Treatments: Mix at a rate of 0.5 to 1.5 pound per gallon of water, applying directly to target vegetation.

  • Residual Control: Higher rates may be needed for extended control in areas with persistent weed pressure.

Restrictions:

  • Not for Use on Turfgrass or Ornamental Plants: This product is not labeled for application in turf, lawns, or ornamental plantings due to its long-lasting residual effects and broad-spectrum activity.

  • Avoid Use Near Desirable Vegetation: The active ingredients can move through soil and affect nearby plants, so it should not be applied near trees, shrubs, or landscaped areas.

  • Do Not Apply to Water Bodies: This herbicide should not be applied to areas where runoff could reach lakes, rivers, or other water sources.

  • Observe Re-entry Intervals (REI): Avoid entering treated areas until the product has dried and settled.

  • Restricted Use in Some States: Always check state and local regulations before application.

Safety and Handling Precautions:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear gloves, long-sleeved clothing, and protective eyewear when handling and applying the herbicide.

  • Avoid Inhalation and Skin Contact: Use in a well-ventilated area and wash hands thoroughly after use.

  • Environmental Considerations: Do not apply in windy conditions or when rain is expected soon after application.

  • Storage and Disposal: Store in a cool, dry place away from food, feed, and water sources. Dispose of containers in accordance with local regulations.

Conclusion:

Alligare Mojave 70 EG provides powerful, long-lasting vegetation control for industrial and non-crop areas. While highly effective against weeds and grasses, it is not recommended for use in turf or ornamental settings due to its persistent nature and potential to harm desirable plants. Always follow label instructions to ensure safe and effective application.
