Product Description:
Albaugh Amine 2,4-D is a selective broadleaf herbicide formulated for use in turf and ornamental applications. It contains 2,4-D as the active ingredient, which is widely recognized for its effectiveness in controlling a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds. This amine formulation provides excellent weed control while reducing the risk of volatility and off-target movement. It is suitable for use on lawns, golf courses, parks, sod farms, and other managed turfgrass areas, as well as ornamental sites.

Application Rates & Guidelines:

For Turfgrass (Lawns, Golf Courses, Parks, and Sod Farms):

  • Rate: 3/4 - 3 pints per acre

  • Application Timing: Apply when weeds are actively growing, ideally in spring or fall.

  • Reapplication Interval: If necessary, a second application can be made after 30 days.

For Ornamental Sites (Non-Crop Areas, Roadsides, and Industrial Sites):

  • Rate: 2 - 8 pints per acre

  • Application Timing: Apply post-emergence when weeds are actively growing.

Restrictions & Precautions:

  • Do not apply to newly seeded turfgrass until after the first mowing.

  • Avoid application near sensitive ornamental plants, vegetables, and flowers.

  • Do not apply during drought stress or excessive heat conditions.

  • Avoid drift by applying when wind speeds are low (below 10 mph).

  • Do not exceed the labeled application rates per year.

Safety & Handling:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Wear long-sleeved shirt, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, and protective eyewear.
    Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

  • Reentry Interval (REI):Allow treated areas to dry before reentry, typically 4 hours after application.

  • Environmental Precautions:Avoid application near bodies of water.
    Do not apply when heavy rainfall is expected.

  • First Aid:If swallowed: Call a poison control center immediately.
    If in eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes.
    If on skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
