Syngenta Heritage Fungicide (Azoxystrobin) –
Product Description
Syngenta Heritage is a premium, broad-spectrum fungicide formulated with the active ingredient Azoxystrobin, a member of the strobilurin class of fungicides. It provides systemic, preventive, and curative control of various turfgrass and ornamental diseases. Heritage offers long-lasting disease protection through xylem-mobile translocation, ensuring even distribution and extended residual activity. It is widely used in golf courses, sports fields, lawns, nurseries, and landscapes to protect against destructive fungal pathogens.
Key Benefits
Broad-Spectrum Control – Effectively combats over 20 major turf and ornamental diseases.
Systemic Action – Moves within plant tissues for thorough and consistent disease suppression.
Preventive & Curative – Works both as a protectant and early curative treatment.
Long Residual – Offers up to 28 days of protection, reducing application frequency.
Turfgrass & Ornamental Safety – Safe for use on all major turf species and ornamental plants when applied according to label instructions.
Weather-Resistant – Rainfast within one hour of application, ensuring effectiveness despite environmental conditions.

Application Rates
Turfgrass: 0.2 – 0.4 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft depending on disease pressure and turf species.
Ornamentals: 1 – 8 oz per 100 gallons of water, applied as a foliar spray at 7- to 28-day intervals, depending on disease severity.
Pythium Control: Use the higher labeled rate for Pythium-related diseases, particularly in high humidity or wet conditions.
Application Guidelines
Apply using standard ground spray equipment for even coverage.
For best results, apply before symptoms appear or at the first signs of disease.
Rotate with different mode-of-action fungicides to prevent resistance development.
Avoid mowing or irrigation for at least 1 hour after application to allow for absorption.
Use Restrictions & Safety
Restricted entry interval (REI): 4 hours (per EPA Worker Protection Standard).
Do not apply within 25 feet of water bodies to protect aquatic life.
Do not graze treated areas or feed clippings to livestock.
Use in rotation with non-strobilurin fungicides to manage resistance.
Environmental & Safety Considerations
Low toxicity to humans and pets when used as directed.
Highly toxic to aquatic organisms – prevent drift or runoff into water bodies.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, long-sleeved shirts, and eye protection during mixing and application.
Conclusion
Heritage fungicide is a powerful, systemic solution for preventing and controlling fungal diseases in turf and ornamental plants. With long-lasting protection, broad-spectrum efficacy, and systemic movement, it is an essential tool for maintaining healthy, disease-free landscapes and golf course turf.
